I have uploaded a new version (0.4) of the Discogs plugin. There has been a problem with empty search results, which caused an error while reading in the result.

Some users may experience a problem between Java and compositing desktops (like Compiz), which results in a blank JMP3Renamer window. These users should try to start JMP3Renamer with the following parameters:

java -Dawt.toolkit=sun.awt.motif.MToolkit -jar JMP3Renamer.jar

I have created a new plugin for the discographies database "Discogs" (http://www.discogs.com/help/about-discogs.html). The plugin can be installed with the plugin manager.

It seems, that the guys at Amazon have modified their webservice interface. That's why CoverGrabber doesn't find any cover anymore.

The new version 0.9 fixes this problem. Please update with the PluginManager of JMP3Renamer.

!! Note !!
After the update, you also have to change the URL CoverGrabber uses. Open the settings and change
PlugIns -> CoverGrabber -> URL to

Since Magix, the new owner over FreeDB, has changed the website and removed the web based search, the FreeDB Reader is broken. They want to relaunch the web based search, when they haved finished the rewrite, which was necessary, because the code of the old search function was not under GPL.

In the meantime please try out the MusicBrainz Client, which does the same job, but uses the database from musicbrainz.org.

No new features, but some internal changes, which improve the plugins. The magic cookies now have more self-documenting names.
I have improved the usability and functionality of many plugins.
